Octavian — the young Octavius, future Emperor Augustus, political heir of Caesar and victor over Antony at Actium in 31 BC. Great Conqueror: Rome classes him as bronze A-rank archer with caps of 5/8 archer, 4/7 infantry and cavalry, 4/5 navy. A versatile profile rather than a pure damage dealer — useful for players wanting a flexible Roman commander without paying S-rank medal costs. In the GCR meta, Octavian is the early-to-mid campaign alternative to Caesar: same archer category, accessible earlier in the military rank progression. His archer cap of 5/8 is notably below Caesar (7/9) but enough to support a composite-bow line until the player has farmed medals to unlock the S-ranker. His 4/5 navy cap, unusually respectable for a Roman archer, makes him a fallback commander for Aegean amphibious scenarios. Players starting a Roman campaign keep him as archer pillar while Caesar unlocks on the Gallic and African scenarios.
