Community Voting Policy

Last updated: April 2026

What are the votes for?

On trainable general pages, we display a small community poll allowing players to indicate which skill they prefer on each reconfigurable slot. The goal is to provide a snapshot of the current meta, alongside our editorial recommendation.

What data is collected?

  • A technical cookie set when voting (wc4_vote_<general>_<slot>), kept for 30 days, which prevents voting twice on the same slot.
  • A temporary Cloudflare Turnstile token, verified server-side and then discarded immediately β€” no persistent data linked to your identity is stored by Cloudflare.
  • An aggregate counter per skill, with no link to your browser or IP.

We store no IP, no browser fingerprint, no user account. There is also no advertising cookie or third-party tracker linked to this feature.

Why a cookie without a consent banner?

The wc4_vote_* cookie is a strictly necessary functional cookie for the proper operation of the voting service (it prevents double votes). As such, it is exempt from prior consent under applicable EU privacy law (GDPR Recital 32 and ePrivacy Directive Article 5(3)).

Vote validity duration

A vote is valid for 30 rolling days. After that, you may vote again (the meta evolves with patches and game modes).

Anti-abuse safeguards

  • Cloudflare Turnstile: frictionless, privacy-respecting anti-bot verification.
  • Server whitelist: only skill IDs officially offered for a given slot are accepted.
  • Editorial moderation: in case of abnormal mass voting (coordinated campaign, raid), we reserve the right to invalidate affected votes.

Your rights

Since no personal data is linked to your vote, there is nothing to individually delete. You can clear the wc4_vote_* cookie from your browser settings to "unlock" yourself before the 30 days are up.
