The Großdeutschland Division was one of the most prestigious elite units of the Heer, composed of volunteers from across the Reich and equipped with the most modern hardware.
During Operation Mars in November-December 1942, the Soviet counteroffensive aimed at the Rzhev salient, Großdeutschland was one of the principal German formations that stemmed the Red Army's assault.
Its combined infantry-armor-heavy artillery doctrine (including special units like the King Tiger and Stuka zu Fuss) made it a versatile force capable of ferocious defense and devastating counterattacks.

Armored Breakthrough
When a Großdeutschland armored unit is within 1 tile of a Großdeutschland infantry unit, if there are no enemy units within 2 tiles after attacking, all Großdeutschland units within 2 tiles gain +5 mobility for this turn. (Cannot stack.)
Firepower Stun
If a Großdeutschland artillery unit is within 2 tiles of a Großdeutschland armored unit, any attack made by this artillery unit applies a one-turn Stun buff to the target. (Stun: -3 mobility for the current turn, stackable up to three times.)
This formation can only be formed in Legend, Conquest, or Army Group modes when you are the corresponding country.
