France · Historical unit: 2nd Armored Division

Formed in Africa and equipped by the Americans, the Free French 2nd Armored Division fought under the command of General Philippe Leclerc de Hauteclocque.

On August 25, 1944, it entered Paris and received the surrender of German General von Choltitz, liberating the capital after four years of occupation.

The division continued its advance across France, Alsace, and Germany, culminating in the capture of Berchtesgaden in May 1945.

After all Leclerc Division units launch an attack, they grant the Restoration Oath to all Leclerc Division units within a two-tile radius for one turn. Restoration Oath: They cannot be Confused.

Tactical Effects

Combat Inspiration

When a Leclerc Division armored unit destroys an enemy unit while under the Restoration Oath effect, the morale of Leclerc Division units in a two-tile radius increases by 1 level. This effect can occur 1 time per unit per turn.

Coordinated Support

When Leclerc Division artillery units are under the Restoration Oath status and attack a city or fortress, if there is a Leclerc infantry or armored unit within one hex of the target, their dealt damage increases by 10%.

Supporting Pursuit

When Leclerc Division infantry units attack while under the Restoration Oath status, Leclerc Division units within 2 tiles gain +5 mobility for this turn.

This formation can only be formed in Legend, Conquest, or Army Group modes when you are the corresponding country.
